APC UPS Batteries are Easy to Replace

Your APC UPS unit can be serviced easily. An access door, when removed will allow you to disconnect and remove the old battery or cartridge. You can then plug in your APC replacement battery and slide it back inside the unit housing. Replace the access door and your done.

If your UPS uses a cartridge for multiple batteries. You will need to remove the access cover for the cartridge as well in order to get to the batteries. The internal wires in the cartridge have a simple clip on connection to each battery. Be certain to mark which wire connects to which battery terminal before disconnecting it. In most cases you will find that it is simply a red for positive (+) terminal and black for negative (-) terminal wiring scheme.

daravuthz, I had no idea how or even if I could replace the batteries in my APC UPS. But after doing the research it turned out to be a lot easier than I thought.
